What should my child bring to class?

Students must conform to the school dress code which includes a school t-shirt (to keep). Returning students from the fall semester will continue to use their fall t-shirts. For new students, a nominal fee will be charged the first week of class (Approx $15). Also, students must wear appropriate pants and footwear. The pants should be loose enough to permit free movement, and the footwear should not restrict the student from running, dancing, jumping, or doing whatever is required in class (i.e., no tight jeans, no high heels).

Hair should be tied back, and all jewelry, including watches, should be stripped away. This permits the student to move without anything bothering him or her, as well as protecting other students from flying accessories.

Students must bring with them any scripts, sheet music, or reference material given to them by their teachers with them to class. Bring paper and pencil to take notes. Failure to bring necessary material will slow down and inconvenience the class, so be sure to bring everything that you need.

Students may also wish to bring snacks or a water bottle with them to consume during breaks. Note, however, that any food or drink must be put away once class starts, as classtime is devoted to learning, not eating!
