Nominated for 7 CAT Awards Perfect is a tale of teenage angst and self-discovery. The story centres on a small group of kids in a normal everyday town who are facing typical problems of peer pressure, school and home life. This group yearns for the perfect family, the perfect home, the perfect life. Individually, they find refuge in "their" secret spot - a secluded space in the forest near town. In their unified discontented state, they find themselves mystically transported to a strange nature-obsessed world where everything is perfect. Through this, they are forced to evaluate their "imperfect" real-world lives. One by one, the teens face dilemmas through questioning: What is perfect? What do I really want to change? What can I change? And, Do I want my life to be perfect anyways? Perfect was written, as well as directed, by Heather Drage, with music by Scott Henderson, who also acted as music director. It was first produced by Theatre Works in the spring of 2005 at the Vertigo Mystery theatre.
